I first created this website in 2006, and in the fourteen years between then and when I’m writing this now it just kept getting slower and slower. Even moving to dedicated hosting didn’t help very much. So, in April 2020 I blew it all up to start over. As part of that process I’ve begun doing most of my blogging over at Patreon. Thus, you can find all of that right here –> Rhonda Parrish’s Patreon.
Not only can you read many of the posts there without being a paid patron (including all the Calls for Submissions and important updates) if you click the ‘follow’ button on that page it will email you whenever I post a public update as well.
Also, even though I blew up the old blog that was here I wasn’t willing to lose fourteen years worth of work.
Luckily for me, my friend BD Wilson knows a thing or two about this kind of stuff and was willing to help me out. BD archived the old blog for me, so if you’re looking for something that was posted pre-April 2020 your best bet is going to be to check here –> RhondaParrish.com Blog Archive
Really important updates like book releases will also be blogged here as ‘Important announcements’.

So, here's the thing... the timing on this is a little awkward but the truth is, I just couldn't wait any longer to share this cover. Designed by Psycat Studios, I'm super, super stoked to share the purple beauty that is Untethered.Unicorns locked away in the cargo...
Win a cool prize pack!
I'm so excited about the release of Trenchcoats, Towers and Trolls in January. In part because it is an amazing anthology and in part because it is the final installment in my Punked Up Fairy Tales anthology series. O_O One tricky thing about its release date is that...
Advent Ghosts 2021 — I’ll Be Home For Christmas
Every year I participate in 'Advent Ghosts' which is an event where people tell spoopy stories around Christmas time. I enjoy the challenge of writing something dark or haunting with the season in mind, as well as reading what everyone else has put together. My story...

3,960 meals. Together we raised enough money to help the Edmonton Food Bank provide 3,960 meals this year. Wow. I'm so happy and proud. So, so happy and proud. Thank you so, so much. If you participated, donated, signal boosted or contributed in anyway, thank you so...
Dear Santa
Dear Santa, I sat down to write you this letter and thought, "I'm too tired to do this right now..." and then I realised that this wasn't something I could just nap away. This kind of tired is just kind of background noise right now. The state in which I live. So I'm...
Giftmas 2021: The Story Begins
I am super excited to officially kick off this year's Giftmas Blog Tour/Train to benefit the Edmonton Food Bank. It's been my pleasure to organize these fundraisers since 2016. Every year we try something a little bit different and this year my friends and I are...

Wow. It's that time of year again. Already. How did that happen?! Welcome to another Giftmas Blog Tour to benefit the Edmonton Food Bank. I've been hosting this blog tour for several years now, and usually I lead off with the story about how the food bank had a...
2021 Eligibility Post
Each year I like to do a quick and dirty listing of things I've worked on which might be eligible for an award. Not only does it give me a nice, central location to share with interested parties, but it's also a nice reminder for myself of the things I've done in the...
Untethered Table of Contents Reveal
When I asked my patrons to pick from a selection of potential anthology themes I was quite surprised when 'A magical horse anthology' won. Jokingly referred to as Equus II this project was one I'd kicked around a bit because people on Twitter wanted me to, but never...
2021 Giftmas Fundraiser Sign Up
When I was a kid money was tight--especially during the time my mom was a single mother of three--but the food bank was there to help make ends meet. We were lucky in that we didn't need to use it regularly, but every year we received a 'Christmas hamper' and they...
