This is a bit of a weird release… because it IS a release but it also isn’t LOL
Originally I released this poetry collection exclusively to my Patreon. The idea was that after it had been exclusive there for a year I would release it widely. But then there was one thing after another that caused me to push that release back and back and back.
But now, here we are. Today is the day!Â
I am very excited to finally be sharing this widely — I hope you enjoy it. I think it’s a fun little collection… though, of course, I’m kinda biased 😉
Poetry about the spirit of the prairies and the spirits that haunt them.
Deadly droughts, malevolent entities and snow drifts that keep secrets (at least until thaw) are just some of the encounters, spooky and otherwise, that await you in Prairie Spirit(s). Inspired by a bout of ‘landsickness’ (being homesick for the land where she grew up), nostalgia and an imagination that tends toward darkness, Parrish tackles the shadowy spaces of the prairie heart. Explore the darkness with her and discover the secrets of rakes forgotten in long grass, isolation, thin ice and ancient relics better left alone… but don’t forget your flashlight.
