This year I’m participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge again. I thought it might be fun to share some of my photography instead of always my words. They say a picture is worth–well, you know what they say 😉
I will try to keep these blog posts short and sweet, while still offering a little bit of insight into each photograph, just for fun.

E is for Eyes… with a bonus elephant eye 😉
We went to the zoo a couple years ago and I left depressed for the animals… but with a few good photos. Like this one of Lucy:
Also, Jo bought me a macro lens for Mother’s Day a while back… I had fun playing with it, as you can see in these two similar shots:

This is Eowyn. She’s one of our kitties — the one who always freaking blinks when I try to take her picture, which makes this much more than ‘just another cat photo’:
Lastly we have Mr. Bogle, who lives at the Birds of Prey Centre in southern Alberta:
I LOVE the black and white eye pic. The details and complexity of the iris is amazing.
Thank you! That is one of my favourite photographs of all time (by me, anyway LOL)
I love all of these, but especially the black and white. And I’m with you about zoos ð
Thank you Liz 🙂
That elephant looks so darn sad!
beautiful photo’s Rhonda.
Thanks Jen 🙂
Lucy was out on her walk around the zoo grounds when I took that shot (which I understand she does daily). So at least she wasn’t behind bars or glass… for a little while.
I love pics of eyes. Nice job, Rhonda. You definitely have a second career going here.
LoL thanks 🙂 I don’t think I’m ‘second career’ good enough, but it sure is a fun hobby 🙂
Often eyes are taken for granted. I am the recipient of a corneal transplant so I know first hand. Take good care of your eyes!!
I think you’re right about eyes being taken for granted. Someone I love has some serious (and scary) eye/vision issues, so I do not fall into the ‘take vision for granted’ category… I don’t think. Though I’d be willing to bet I don’t appreciate them as much as you do.
I love photographs of eyes. They are so different and expressive. Very nice.
Thanks for stopping by Kris 🙂
Beautiful. The black and white eye is stunning.
