Back at the beginning of April, when I was doing the April Poem a Day Challenge, I tweeted this:
When given the poetry prompt ‘Hold that _____’ my first thought was camel. Yup. Hold that camel. I wanna write that poem. *thinking*

Well, today I’m ridiculously pleased to announce that my poem, “Hold This Camel” has been accepted for publication by The Germ. This is a new market for me and I’m very much looking forward to this poem’s publication in their autumn issue due out in September.
Yay! Congratulations!!! 🙂 I can’t wait to read it. That title is intriguing. I’m still at the “poetry as therapy” stage where all my poems sound a little like, well whining. 🙂 Maybe by next April I’ll be ready for the Poem a day challenge.
I’m definitely going through a poetry as therapy stage right now too. Mostly dealing with my Mom’s passing, I think. Most of those won’t be sent out but every once in a while there’s one that can be.
Maybe we can both to April PAD next year 🙂
w00t! Quite why “camel” came to you I can’t imagine, but it clearly worked!
LoL I dunno where ‘camel’ came from either, but as you say, it worked 🙂
