Wheee! Yesterday I finished the first draft of my new novel, tentatively titled “Shadows”. I usually don’t let anyone see the first draft, but this time I’m changing things up a bit. I’m going to send it to my beta readers as is (well, minus all the comments I left for myself ie: “Check on the color of these curtains” or “Is she blonde?”) and then keep their feedback in mind when I revise…which won’t be for a least a month. I’ve found that letting my work age a bit before revising is definitely a good thing, and besides, I’m going to be busy with Writo de Mayo for all of May 🙂

It’s a good first draft, my best yet I think, so I’m very excited about it. Yay!
