My poem, The Grotesque, is in the most recent issue of Bete Noire. I freaking love this cover. I’ve been in a few issues of Bete Noire but this is my favourite cover of them all. It might be my favourite poem too, but that’s a close call. I’m proud of all the works of mine Bete Noire has seen fit to publish.
There’s another cool thing about this issue. I get to share a table of contents with a lot of talented folks, including Marge Simon. Marge and I work together regularly for Niteblade, but we don’t often get to share a table of contents, so that’s just a nice bonus 🙂
I’m super pleased to announce that my short story, Feeders, has been published in issue #12 of Bete Noire Magazine. Feeders is a fun little story about the zombie apocalypse as told from the point of view of a cat.
I know, I know, everyone does the animal point of view stories. But it’s cute. It really, really is.
Know what else makes me happy? I’m sharing a table of contents with Marge Simon, Bruce Boston, Robert Laughlin, J.S. Watts and loads more talented writers.
Whoot!
Good news! My poem, The Grotesque, has been accepted for the April 2014 issue of Bete Noire magazine. I am especially fond of this poem and ecstatic to have it find a home with Bete Noire as they have treated me well in the past.
Whoot!
My poem, Damage, is included in issue #10 of Bete Noire magazine which just went live today. Yay!
As an added bonus I get to share this table of contents with my good friend Beth, who also has a poem in there. Double yay!
My short story, Feeders, has been accepted by Bete Noire for inclusion in a future issue. Feeders is a funny zombie story that I wrote as a part of the 2012 Whittaker competition. I can’t wait to be able to share it with Bete Noire’s readers. And you. 🙂
I’m pleased to announce that I’ve sold my poem, Damage, to Bete Noire. The contract is currently winging its way toward them courtesy of Canada Post, and the poem is scheduled to appear in their January 2013 issue.
I write, I edit and I take a lot of naps.
